Republican Presidential Hopefuls Clash in Fierce Debate

Seven candidates faced off in a heated and chaotic event

Five candidates to participate in third Republican presidential primary debate

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Seven Republican presidential hopefuls engaged in a contentious and rowdy debate on Wednesday, with personal attacks flying and policy differences laid bare.

The debate, hosted by the conservative news network Newsmax, featured Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, former Vice President Mike Pence, former President Donald Trump, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld.

The candidates clashed over a wide range of issues, including immigration, foreign policy, the economy, and social issues. Trump, as usual, dominated the stage, frequently interrupting his opponents and making unsubstantiated claims.

Five of the candidates will participate in the third Republican presidential primary debate on Fox News on December 15th. The remaining two candidates, Weld and Hutchinson, did not qualify for the debate.

The debate was widely seen as a preview of the upcoming Republican primary season, which is expected to be highly competitive. With so many strong candidates in the race, it is still too early to say who will emerge as the frontrunner.
